Ordering on-line from Blue Lotus Products is a safe and secure process. We use
128-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layers) encryption on our website. This prevents any
third party from intercepting any details (including credit card information)
that you enter during your visit to our site. We will not disclose any of your
personal details to a third party, unless required to do so by law.
The SSL encryption occurs during signing-in and also throughout the Checkout
process. Your browser will indicate SSL encryption in its information
section(s). In Internet Explorer 7, the padlock will appear just after the
address bar at the top of the brower. Other versions and brands of browser
will display the SSL indication elsewhere. Also, our internet address will
begin with
"https://" instead of
"http://".
We only store partial credit card numbers on our Database. Once
payment has been processed, the other remaining digits are erased; Thereby
eliminating the likelihood of credit card details falling into the wrong hands.
Allergy Information
All of our items are made in dairy and egg free vegan bakeries, and therefore do not contain dairy, egg or any other animal ingredients. The items from each of the 4 bakeries have been given a code on the website MFR01, MFR02 etc.
Items denoted by MFR01 are made in a bakery that does not handle dairy or egg but does handle gluten, wheat, soya and nuts.
This bakery makes items that are dairy and egg free (with nut free, soya free, gluten free, wheat free and sugar free options).
Items denoted by MFR02 are made in a bakery that does not handle dairy, egg, wheat, nuts or soya but does handle gluten, spelt and coconut.
This bakery makes items that are dairy, egg, wheat, nut and soya free (with gluten free and sugar free options).
Items denoted by MFR03 are made in a bakery that does not handle dairy or egg but does handle gluten, wheat, soya and nuts.
This bakery makes items that are dairy and egg free (with nut free, soya free, gluten free, wheat free, maize flour free, potato flour free and sugar free options).
Items denoted by MFR04 are made in a bakery that does not handle dairy, egg, gluten, wheat or nuts but does handle soya.
Although a thorough cleaning process takes place before items are baked we can not guarantee that all traces of allergens have been eliminated. We wouldnt also be able to ensure that the raw ingredients haven’t been contaminated by trace allergens before arriving at the bakeries. Therefore these products may not be suitable if you have severe allergies or are prone to anaphylactic reactions. Please contact us if you are unsure about ordering.
Placing your order
You may place your order on-line or by phone (Our business hours are from 9.30am-5.30pm, Monday-Friday).
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Switch/Maestro, Solo,
and
Visa. You may also select to pay with a cheque or money
order, we will not be able to process your order until we have
received your cheque and it has been cleared, we will hold your
order for 5 working days after which it will be deleted if we do
not receive payment. Once you have placed your
order on-line you will receive immediate confirmation of the
order details via email and within 24hours you will also receive
confirmation of the delivery date in a sperate email -
please check these and let us know as soon as possible if any
details require amending.
If you are placing an order which is to be delivered as a gift
to a different address to your own we recommend that you inform
the recipient to expect a delivery so they are available to
receive it and also to provide us with a contact phone number for
the recipient should there be any difficulties when delivering
eg. not being able to find the property.

Orders placed by 4.30pm on a working day will be processed that
day, orders placed after 4.30pm will be processed on the
following working day eg. orders placed on Monday by 4.30pm will
be baked and dispatched on Tuesday to be delivered on Wednesday
(decorated cupcakes require an additional days
notice). You can of course request a future delivery date, just
let us know in the comments box when you check out.
We tend not to bake and dispatch cakes on a Friday as this would mean they would be
in a couriers depot over the weekend. We would also advice customers to place their orders
so that they are delivered at least one day in advance of a
special occasion or the weekend.
Delivery/Shipping
Deliveries can be made to any part of mainland UK.
For other areas please contact us before placing an order
ie. if you are in Scottish islands and highlands, Eire,
Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Weight and Isles of Scilly.
The cakes, cupcakes and scones are sent by courier.
The tray bakes and cake toppers are sent via Royal Mail first class recorded
(unless there is a strike in which case they are sent by courier).
The delivery charge for any number of items from a single range is £4.99.
Each range is denoted by a separate code MFR01, MFR02, MFR03 AND MFR04.
If you purchase any number of items from two or more ranges a multiple
manufacture surcharge of £3 will be added on each time a different range
is selected. Please note that deliveries cannot be made on Saturdays,
Sundays and Public Holidays. Delivery will usually take place between
8am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday.
Courier deliveries can be upgraded to delivery by 1pm for an additional £5.
Royal Mail deliveries can be upgraded to special delivery by 1pm for an additional £3.
We regret that we are unable to accept orders for delivery to an
address containing a PO Box Number, or from persons placing an
order whose own address contains a PO Box number. We will
deliver to the address provided by you in the
"Delivery" section of the checkout process.
If the delivery address is incomplete or incorrect we accept no
liability for late or failed deliveries or damaged products.
A signature would be preferred on delivery.
You may if you wish provide
secure leave safe
instructions (for courier deliveries) in the comments box when checking out eg.
leave in porch, green house, shed, with neighbours etc.
Please note that in this we can not then be held responsible for
loss or damage to the items once the couriers tracking system
shows that they have been delivered.
Should it not be possible to make a delivery a card will be left
to inform the recipient of the collection office from which
the goods can be collected (for royal mail
deliveries) or instructions to rebook the delivery (for courier deliveries). If the recipient is
not available at the second redelivery attempt it is then the
customers responsibility to collect the goods from the
depot. After the second redelivery attempt we accept no
liability if delivery is not made due to the recipient not being
available. If possible we would recommended that items
are sent to a work address. In the event that you select a
business address and the recipient is not available the package
will be left at the reception area and a signature obtained from
an authorized representative at the business address. For
delivery to a business address, please ensure the reception staff
are informed of the impending delivery.
Cancellations
Regrettably, once an order has been processed, cancellation
is not possible.
Refunds
Your items will be very carefully packaged so that they arrive in perfect condition.
In the unlikely event that the items appear to have been damaged during transit,
you must notify us within 24 hours of receipt. Refunds will be granted if the
items are damaged beyond reasonable use. We will require evidence of any damage,
which must be received by us within 7 days of the original delivery. This evidence
may be in the form of photographs.
We take the utmost care in ensuring that our products are of the highest quality.
If however you are dissatisfied with your purchase, then please contact us within
7 days of purchase and we will refund your money in full. Please note that refunds
can only be provided for items that have been returned to us and that you will be
responsible for the cost of returning the products to us (other than for returning
incorrect goods) and you should ensure that you obtain proof of postage.
Your statutory rights are not affected by any statement
contained in this document or our website. By placing an
order with Blue Lotus Products, either through our website , over
the telephone or by any other medium you are agreeing to these
terms.
